Legal Brokers
Legal Brokers is building a growth and infrastructure platform designed specifically for independent law firms.
We believe the future of the legal sector belongs to firms that collaborate intelligently, share infrastructure effectively, and participate in the value they help create. We already support law firms by providing a range of individual services:
- Conveyancing Searches
- AML & ID Verification
- Indemnity Products
- Conveyancing Referrals
- Recruitment Assistance
- And offer strategic growth support via the Consultant Solicitors model
Our vision is centred around Regional PODs - carefully structured groups of independent law firms working within a region to achieve stronger collective growth. Each POD is designed to help participating firms benefit from our employing a Business Development Manager to:
- Coordinated business development
- Create introducer relationships and generate income
- Share marketing activity
- Introduce Consultant Solicitors
In its simplest form we want to establish 3 POD's per area from whom we can receive 150 searches, indemnities and iD checks and in return we will fund a BDM to actively promote the services of each firm. The service is both free and forms a circular transaction. When the BDM generates more work for you, we also benefit. Isn't this the way a business relationship should be ?
Who owns the infrastructure your firm relies on ?
Our long term vision includes the development of operational technology designed around the needs of law firms. This includes integrated onboarding systems, workflow tools, compliance automation, introducer connectivity, communication platforms, and case management infrastructure.
Most importantly, we believe the firms helping to build the future of this infrastructure should be involved in the success they have helped create.
Currently, firms contribute to the profits of their software and infrastructure providers. It's a transactional arrangement that means the law firm is subject to both obvious price changes, subtle increases in costs, and a direction to use specific ancillary providers. The law firm becomes both a captive market and a commodity.
InfoTrack, as an example, supplies one in four UK law firms and has a turnover of £155 million per year. Is your business dependent on such a firm without being able to influence its direction of travel ?
Our proposal is to build on our current platform and allow firms to have a stake in its development. We don't want customers, we want partners within a network. In return for sending orders from which we can derive an income, we will reinvest that income stream into expanding our existing platform. We need your patience and wisdom. These two attributes will allow us to build something you can be a part of.
Venture Capital
And finally, by virtue of our activities assisting the sale and purchase of law firms we come into the orbit of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and businesses who count their turnover in billions. If you are such a reader, we want to market our NationalSolicitors.com brand to the 10,000 law firms in the UK and sell their services to the country's 70 million strong population.
We want to promote our iDWallet.com brand to the 2 billion individuals on the planet who speak English. Similarly, there's mortgage brokers, insurance brokers, and investment brokers. We are Legal Brokers, and I want to promote our brand to a worldwide audience. If you find the future as exciting as I do, please let me know.
To discuss any of the points I've raised in further detail please email gemma@legalbrokers.com or call 0345 603 0708 and ask for me.
